Frank Lampard will miss Chelsea FC's UEFA Champions League trip to FC Porto on November 25th after being ruled out for three weeks with a torn thigh muscle.
Chelsea confirmation
The 31-year-old midfielder hurt his left leg on international duty and has returned from Doha, where England play Brazil in a friendly on
Saturday. A Chelsea statement on Friday read: "The midfielder reported back at Cobham this morning having flown back from the Middle East. The Chelsea medical department's initial impression is that he may take approximately three weeks to recover."
Arsenal trip
Chelsea have already secured a first knockout round berth and victory in Porto would clinch Group D first place. Lampard is also set to miss the Premier League leaders' fixtures against Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on Saturday week and the 29 November trip to Arsenal FC.
